Adrian Moses Academic Chair Adrian is an accomplished film, television and media producer with over two decades of experience. He has a degree in Theatre and Media from Charles Sturt University, as well as qualifications in Producing Film and Television from the Victorian College of the Arts, and Film Business and Law at AFTRS. Throughout his career Adrian has produced numerous award-winning short films, multiple features, a televised documentary, and a vast array of digital media products, as well as imparted his industry knowledge as a Trainer & Assessor of filmmaking, screenwriting and acting students at NYFA Australia. He has helmed production teams at Ninemsn and Vodafone Australia, and has remained at the forefront of technological advancements in the industry. |

Vic Kaspar Trainer & Assessor With over four decades of industry experience, Vic Kaspar has made a substantial impact on the Film and Television industry. He has worked on major international blockbusters including Pirates of the Caribbean 5 (Disney), Black Mass (Cross Creek Pictures), Hercules (Paramount Pictures/MGM) and several Marvel Productions like Avengers & Thor (Marvel) and the Emmy Award winning Flipper The New Adventures and Animalia, for which won the prestigious Australian Screen Sound Guild Award for Best Sound; Terra Nova, The Lost World, Tales of the South Seas and many others. Vic’s achievements in sound design earned him a Golden Reel for Best Sound and an ASSG (Australian Screen Sound Guild) Award for Best Sound Design in recognition of his work on House of Flying Daggers. Notably, Vic received two Golden Reel nominations, one for Best Sound Editing and another for Best ADR and Dialogue, for Disney’s Inspector Gadget 2. |

John Stokes Trainer & Assessor John Stokes is an award winning cinematographer with decades of experience. He has worked on many notable films and TV series, including Young Rock, Nightmares and Dreamscapes, A Place to Call Home, and ROAR. His cinematography has received critical acclaim and has contributed to the visual success of these films. He has been nominated for and won several prestigious awards, including the ASC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography and the Golden Tripod Award for Nightmares & Dreamscapes (TNT), in addition to several Awards of Distinction for his work as a Cinematographer on ROAR, A Place to Call Home and Blackwater Trail. |

Patrick Ryan Trainer & Assessor Patrick graduated from NYFA Los Angeles with a Diploma in Film Directing. After graduating, Patrick was involved in a number of high-profile projects across Asia. In 2008, he received the Master Degree in Film and Digital Images at The University of Sydney. His thesis film, Wakefield, was selected and screened in various film festivals around the world, including Cannes Film Festival, American Online Film Festival, Swansea Bay Film Festival, and more. Patrick has been teaching film production since 2010 while remaining active in the field in the field working as a film crew member on blockbusters and major TV shows such as Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Mortal Kombat 2, Young Rock, Rock Island Mysteries and Eden. |

Trevor Hawkins Trainer & Assessor Beginning his career as a film editor, Trevor has worked on documentaries, dramas, and commercials, winning a Bronze Lion Award at Cannes and an Australian Writers & Art Directors Award for Craft in Television & Cinema animation. Trevor has also directed television commercials for major brands, including KFC, 7-UP, Pizza Hut, and Colgate. With a passion for animation, Trevor directed The Adventures of Voopa the Goolash and Balloon Barnyard, an animated series for Disney Junior. He has also written several episodes for Fo-Fo Figgily, a pre-school series. Additionally, he has worked as Visual Effects Supervisor on numerous television and feature productions, including Paradise Road, Welcome to Woop Woop, and Inspector Gadget 2. Trevor has a Master’s in Screen Production and is a certified trainer for editing with Davinci Resolve 17. |

Steve Pratt Trainer & Assessor Steve has over twenty years industry experience with credits that include; Writer of the feature film Under the Radar which was Produced by Chris Brown (The Railway Man, Bait 3D, Daybreakers), theatrically distributed by Hoyts and sold internationally by LA-based Myriad Pictures; Farm Kids (Children's' TV series which aired on the ABC and distributed by Disney), Writer/Director "Thunderlust" (feature film that gained international festival selection), Director Win or Lose (feature documentary that gained national TV broadcast) on Fox. Steve has also worked as a Director, Cinematographer and Editor on numerous TV commercials, music videos, and corporate documentaries and is passionate about teaching filmmaking and helping students become the next storytellers of their generation. |

Steven Caldwell Trainer & Assessor Steven has worked on feature films with esteemed industry stars such as Chris Nyst, Firass Dirani, Jay Laga'aia, Josh Lawson, and Margot Robbie. He went on to produce and edit his award winning debut feature film, Bad Behaviour, starring John Jarratt (Wolf Creek, Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained), Roger Ward (Mad Max) and Jean Kittson (Good News Week). The film won six festival awards. He then went to produce and direct Chopper: The Last Chapter. Through his production company, Caldwell Entertainment, Steven has produced and directed work for clients including Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Queensland Government and Westfield. |

Josh Hale Trainer & Assessor Josh is an award winning screenwriter, director and producer originally from California. His debut feature film Digital Athletes: The Road to Seat League was nominated for the Australian Independent Film of the Year and won Best Comedy at the San Francisco International New Concept Film Festival, the Diamond Award at the New York Indie Film Festival, Best Director and an Official Selection with an Honourable Mention at the Los Angeles Film Awards, Best Indie Film at the Gold Movie Awards in London and the Pinnacle Award and Best Director at the Elevation Indie Film Awards in Ireland. His feature film, House of Inequity received world-wide recognition and was picked up for international distribution. In 2021, Josh was the acknowledged as the winner of the Gold Coast Screen Professional of the Year Award. Josh is now in post production on his most recent feature film, Blue Horizon. |

CJ Barnes Trainer & Assessor CJ Barnes is an award-winning writer, director, and producer of short films with a strong passion for all elements of the filmmaking process. His directorial debut film, Hunger - A Short Film garnered fifteen Official Selections, twelve award nominations, and five wins including Best Zombie Short in the Boobs & Blood International Film Festival. His film Lost Property was selected eleven times and won the award for Best International Short. Joining the NYFA team is a great honour for CJ, as he looks forward to inspiring and empowering the next generation of filmmakers. He is eager to share his passion for storytelling and to be a part of their creative journeys as they pave their own paths in the world of cinema. |

Sean Ellis Trainer & Assessor Sean Ellis graduated with a Bachelor of Film & TV and has worked as a Screenwriter and Producer in Australia and the US. He worked at Larger Than Life Productions, situated on the prestigious Universal Backlot in Los Angeles, where iconic films like ‘Pleasantville’ and ‘Sea Biscuit’ were produced. Sean's screenplay, Claws, was a finalist in the Beverly Hills Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. He has developed feature screenplays, including, "The Legend of Yakatutch" which was selected as a Producer Spotlight Project for the International Financing Forum (Toronto) and Trans-Atlantic Partners. The screenplay is being adapted into a graphic novel. Sean's recent projects include a 5-part documentary, filmed in Hong Kong, and two new screenplays: "Shadow Men", a Sci-Fi/Thriller, and a Crime/Thriller set in New York City. |

Wayne Hasselman Trainer & Assessor Wayne is a screenwriter with over ten years of experience writing, editing, and facilitating short films. In 2017, his script Dream House was selected and funded by Melbourne's Jewish International Film Festival. The film was produced and directed by Paul Andersen. Wayne has a Master of Screenwriting from the Victorian College of the Arts. |
