New York Film Academy Australia is a Registered Training Organisation, delivering nationally accredited training and hands-on education in the area of the visual and performing arts, with a focus on Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Screenwriting and 3D Animation & VFX. Our innovative "learning-by-doing" approach to teaching in the Gold Coast, Australia is aligned with the philosophy of our renowned New York Film Academy headquarters in New York (with campuses also in Los Angeles, Miami and Florence, Italy).

Over the past 25 years, the New York Film Academy has built a reputation as one of the premier hands-on, intensive film and acting schools in the world.

Students find themselves completely immersed in their course of study, surrounded by award-winning faculty and working with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The project-based curriculum is designed to reflect a real-world environment while encouraging students to explore their own creativity and passions.

At NYFA Australia, students can attain accreditations in:
• CUA60615 - Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media
• CUA51015 - Diploma of Screen and Media

Students then have the option to specialise in either Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Screenwriting, 3D Animation & VFX, Producing or Documentary Filmmaking.

Short-term, evening and high school non-accredited workshop are also available, allowing students to up-skill throughout the year.

The NYFA Gold Coast campus is located in purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities in dynamic Southport Central, only steps away from the light rail. NYFA Gold Coast is adjacent to Village Roadshow Studios, offering all students the opportunity to study and learn on the prestigious backlot.

Students that are exploring the option to study abroad can continue their education at the New York Film Academy's U.S. campuses. Pathways to the U.S. are available to qualified students who complete their Diploma at any Australian locations, allowing eligible students to transfer credits to their U.S. degree program*.
