FILMMAKER
Aqeedat Chishti is a student of NYFA Australia in the Diploma of Screen and Media in Filmmaking. The Pakistan-born filmmaker was chosen among 1,500 Pakistani students for a scholarship to attend NYFA Australia. Following a promise to follow in the footsteps of her father and grandfather and speak on behalf of underrepresented people, Chishti studies filmmaking to materialize this vision.

Nominated by NYFA Australia, Chishti was nominated for ‘Excellence in Fostering Creative Arts’ at the 2022 Gold Coast Student Excellence Awards for her current work and short film Pathani.
