Domestic Admissions Requirements

All applicants must possess the drive and commitment necessary to complete a rigorous, total immersion program. They must be able to communicate well and work collaboratively with others in an artistic environment. Each program requires different Supplemental Materials.

DOMESTIC STUDENTS

New York Film Academy Australia welcomes students from all over Australia to study Diploma and Advanced Diploma Programs, adult workshops and high school camps at our Gold Coast campus.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Diploma of Screen and Media

Copy of Photo ID

Statement of Purpose (min 750 words essay)

Youth and Teen Camps

Ages 13-17 years
- Must be at least 13 years old on the first day of the teen camp
- Must be under the age of 18 on the first day of the teen camp
- Cannot attend if you are in high school but under the age of 13 or have already turned 18 years old as of the first day of the teen camp
You may or may not be in high school

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE ESSAY

The narrative statement should be a mature and self-reflective essay (min 750 words) detailing the applicant’s reasons for pursuing a Diploma in the visual arts. The essay should take into account the individual’s history, formative creative experiences, contemporary influences and inspirations, and personal artistic dreams.

DEPOSIT

Upon acceptance to the program a deposit fee of $1,500 is required to reserve your place. This will be applied to your first instalment of Tuition Fee.

RPL (recognition of prior learning)

RPL is about getting the skills and knowledge you have gained through your work and experiences formally recognised. RPL may reduce the amount of time you need to study to get your qualification.
