New York Film Academy (NYFA) offers Study Abroad programs in Filmmaking and Acting for Film to university or college students from around the world to study for a semester at one of our global campus locations. Study Abroad programs give students the opportunity to embark on a creative adventure in a new environment and immerse themselves in a truly cross-cultural educational experience, broadening their horizons as they develop their identity as artists.
Study Abroad at New York Film Academy Australia (NYFA Australia) takes place on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia which is a premiere destination for tourism, education and film production in Australia. The golden beaches, tropical rainforests, rugged country and a modern city skyline are just some of the backdrops that keep the biggest filmmakers in the world coming back to the Gold Coast to produce major motion films. With an average of 300 days of sunshine every year, this region is commonly known as "beautiful one day, perfect the next," and as a surfer's paradise.
At NYFA Australia, Study Abroad students will collaborate on film projects with a diverse cohort of Australian and international students while being mentored by our present-day industry professional faculty who have vast experiences working on major film productions and television shows. Outside of the classroom, students enjoy the vibrant lifestyle in the tourist capital of Australia, taking surf lessons, visiting world-famous theme parks, hiking in the hinterland, exploring food and coffee outlets or shopping in the metro area. The Gold Coast’s warm climate, diverse environment, safe and welcoming community and booming film industry provide an ideal setting for aspiring filmmakers and actors to explore their creative potential.
