Hands-on 3-Day Audition Technique for Actors

NYFA Australia’s short-term workshops are delivered in-person at our purpose-built campus on the Gold Coast. Perfectly designed for working professionals, full-time or part-time students, and can even be an after school learning option.

Students are immersed in hands-on programs in the visual and performing arts designed to teach them creative and technical skills in their chosen field. Workshops are designed to be adapted for a variety of people, with either little or no experience, as well as trained professionals who wish to deepen their craft, or refresh on techniques, or even just to create a new showreel for their professional portfolio!

3-Day Audition Technique for Actor:

Get audition ready as you master audition technique, script and character analysis and on-camera performance. Strengthen your cold read skills, make a self-tape and learn how to nail that audition.

What you’ll learn in this workshop:

• Learn how to audition for different types of genres including drama, comedy, sci-fi and action
• Prepare for cold reads and on camera performance practice
• Work on Film & TV audition scripts
• Students receive copies of two audition scenes they perform during class 2 & 3, to help build their acting portfolio and showreels

Location: NYFA Australia Southport Campus, Gold Coast

Program Duration:

• 1 evening per week, for 3 consecutive weeks
• 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm (AEST)

Tuition Fees: $530 (AUD)

A non-refundable application fee of $50 (AUD) and the above tuition fee will be required upon application.
