NYFA Australia Hot Sets at Warner Bros. Movie World
NYFA Australia’s Unique Partnership with Warner Bros. Movie World
Due to the unique partnership between New York Film Academy Australia (NYFA Australia) and
Warner Bros. Movie World, during study in the Filmmaking or Acting for Film Advanced Diploma
of Screen & Media, Diploma of Screen & Media or Teen Camp programs, students are provided
with a customised opportunity to film on-location at the renowned Warner Bros. Movie World
on the Gold Coast.
Students collaborate with each other in a real-world setting in the roles of cast and crew
‘on-location’ on the Movie World backlot, filming student class activities or projects such
as TV commercials, movie trailers, scene work and much more.
By visiting and working within the Warner Bros. theme park facades and outdoor sets such as
the Wild West or Main Street, students have the opportunity to advance their skills in a
real-world environment. Here they learn to navigate on-location shoot challenges and further
develop their skills using professional equipment in a backlot style setting supervised by
our industry professional faculty.
Warner Bros. Movie World is located adjacent from Village Roadshow Studios where some of the
largest Hollywood Blockbusters have been filmed including
Aquaman, Thor: Ragnarok, San
Andreas, Unbroken, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, The Shallows, and Kong:
Skull Island.
If you’re visiting Warner Bros. Movie World be sure to keep your eyes peeled for NYFA
Australia Hot Sets and student shooting on-location in a real-world environment, during
their hands-on education!
